Perception Cubed - Installation for Dance USA's Winter Forum

Dance USA, The National Service Organization for Professional Dance, Winter Forum conference 2008, at Blankenship Ballet in Venice, CA.

Exhibition curator, Alison Rootberg of Kinesthetic Sense commissioned me to create a piece that allowed the dancers to manipulate the projected media. The cube, a 6'x6' box, covered in a sheer paper fabric, was positioned against a mirrored corner so projection could reflect back to the screens, creating shadows and shapes. The media reacted via four infrared proximity sensors, which triggered color shifts, expansion and animation of projected fractals.
